SABINE Eco actions

SABINE eco-actions

For its second edition, the SABINE fair redoubled its efforts to fight against global warming.

Just like any other important event, the fair produces a certain rate of CO2. That’s why SABINE renewed its involvement this year by signing with EDF the « zero carbone » convention, ensuring a free-carbon edition.

SABINE, an eco-friendly fair trade, commited to carbon neutrality

A common approach

As each of us is responsible for the planet, let’s get involved together in this ecologically-responsible approach. Exhibitors, visitors , this is your turn to act for the environment thanks to simple gestures:

> Use low CO2 transports :

> Reduce your waste during the fair :

>Process the remaining waste :

UMICORE VM Zinc voted eco-exhibitor of SABINE 2010

With the aim of reducing the ecological footprint of the fair, SABINE has created the eco-exhibitor contest in order to associate the exhibitors to their approach and reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases linked to this event thanks to a collective effort.

The UMICORE VM Zinc company was declared winner of this eco-contest.

Mr. Frédéric Sergent was given a GITANE electric bicycle by Mr. Denis Violle (director of EDF Collectivités EST) built in the Cycleurope workshops in Romilly sur Seine.

A quiz was created and handled by the YSER technical high school and its 10 students.

Each stand signed the Exhibitor’s eco-actions charter before answering to 30 questions about the use of reusable materials for stands, the sorting of alimentary and paper waste, the use of glass cups…
